Based in Italy, FondTech was established in 1993 by Jean-Claude Migeot – the former Head of Aerodynamics at Ferrari and Tyrrell F1 teams – to provide aerodynamic consultancy for motorsport and other wind tunnel development services. Since building a second wind tunnel – FondTech 2 (FT2) – in 2006, FondTech's Casumaro headquarters now cover 10600m2 and include a model shop as well as technical and administrative offices. FondTech's capabilities were further enhanced in 2013, when it incorporeted Aerolab. The former Aerolab premises, located in Sant'Agata Bolognese and including a third wind tunnel, are now Fondtech's second facility.
FondTech's capabilities were enhanced when they acquired the Aerolab wind tunnel – similar to those at their Casumaro headquarters – in 2013. Now FondTech's second facility, it's located approximately 35km away in Sant'Agata Bolognese.
